Almanac is the flagship restaurant of James Beard Award Winning Chef Galen Zamarra and serves a three course tasting menu for $75, a five course for $95, and an eight course for $145. Almanac welcomes substitutions, and all dishes may be ordered individually as an appetizer for $20 or as an entrée for $40.
The name Almanac is derived from a seasonal journal that Chef Zamarra began to create nearly fifteen years ago when he noticed that certain ingredients were only available for brief moments each year. Thus, he would transcribe his ideas for dishes in a daily journal based upon his conversations with farmers, local fishermen, producers, and wild foragers and depending upon what was then in season. His journal was divided by micro season and became a personal almanac that has grown over the years. Accordingly, the name of our restaurant is called Almanac.
